New England Patriots @ New York Jets Sun. Nov. 13, 2011 8:20 p.m. EST
As one of the most anticipated divisional showdowns of the season, the New York Jets and the New England Patriots will go head-to-head for the second time this year and this game will be perhaps of the most important game of the season for both teams.
Ironically enough, the scenario has changed a bit since the last time these two teams met earlier in the season. This time around the New England Patriots have begun to struggle losing two straight against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants while the New York Jets have started to get red-hot with three straight wins over the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers and the Buffalo Bills.
With the win over the Buffalo Bills last week, the New York Jets were able to make things very interesting in the AFC East division as a win over the Patriots in Week 10 propels them to first place. Not only will the Jets be in first place, but if they can beat the Bills in their second meeting of the season they will win the AFC East division title and cruise into the playoffs.
With that being said, there will be a lot riding on this game that already gets a lot of hype due to the fact that both of these teams absolutely hate one another. Now the Patriots are struggling and the Jets are surging, the scales tend to tile in the favor of New York.
As of right now, the New York Jets have been favored to come out on top in this heated AFC East showdown at New Meadowlands Stadium with a -1 point spread. This spread means that this game will be an all-out battle with either team having a good chance of winning, but I think Bill Belichick gets the best of Rex Ryan for the second time this season.
