Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles Sun. Jan. 2nd 2010 4:15pm EST
The Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles are two teams in the highly competitive NFC East division that have gone in completely different directions this season as the Eagles could very well be Super Bowl bound and the Cowboys won’t even make it into the playoffs.
Coming into this NFL regular season, both of these teams were thought to be at least playoff bound, but that hasn’t been the case as the Eagles have quickly turned into one of the most dynamic teams in the league while the Cowboys have suffered some huge setbacks.
Fortunately, despite missing the playoffs and seeing their head coach Wade Phillips get fired at midseason, the Cowboys have seen some light at the end of the tunnel as they have played really well on both sides of the football with new head coach Jason Garrett calling the shots.
At this time, Bodog, one of the best online sportsbooks, did not have the latest lines on this matchup.
The Eagles on the other hand have gone from a good team in the NFC Conference to a great team as the change at quarterback with superstar Michael Vick under center has been just what this team needed to take it to the next level. It is uncertain how well Vick will be able to do once this team starts playing playoff games, but in the meantime he is looking like a legitimate NFL MVP candidate and arguably the best player in the league.
On Sunday night in Philly, these two storied franchises will do battle, but with neither team having anything to play for this game will be fought with second and third stringers on both sides of the football.
Even though it is obvious at this point that the Philadelphia Eagles are by far the better team this season, I believe the Dallas Cowboys might be able to come out on top this week as Philly could struggle to put points on the board without Vick as their gunslinger.
