Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys Sun. Dec. 12th 2010 8:20pm EST
The NFC East division is usually one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL, but this season it seems to be down to a two team race with Michael Vick’s Philadelphia Eagles and Eli Manning’s New York Giants trying to come out on top.
With that being said, every game and win from here on out is crucial for the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants, but despite being one of the best teams in the NFL right now, Andy Reid’s squad will have their work cut out for them in Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys who have won three out of their last four games.
Not only have the Dallas Cowboys finally been able to turn the corner this season after the firing of head coach Wade Phillips and the promotion of offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, but if they played the way they have over the last few weeks of the season in the beginning of the year, America’s Team would almost certainly be playoff bound and a legitimate Super Bowl title contender.
Unfortunately, at this point in time the Dallas Cowboys will have to settle for missing the playoffs as they are basically mathematically out of the running, but they can still prove to the rest of the league that they are a force to be reckoned and are not going to lay down for the opponents.
Coming into this NFC East showdown, the Philadelphia Eagles will almost certainly be favored to come out on top as they are firing on all cylinders right now and amongst the elite in the league, but I believe the Dallas Cowboys should give them a run for their money and make a game of it.
