New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans Sat. Aug. 20, 2011 8 p.m. EST
It has been a short week for the Houston Texans as they are set to host the New Orleans Saints on Saturday night just four days after beating the New York Jets on Monday Night Football. This season will be another test to see if the Houston Texans are an up-and-coming team in the NFL as they will have the perfect opportunity to take advantage of their position in the AFC South division.
With four-time NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning out due to the fact that he is recovering from neck surgery, the Houston Texans might get a chance to get a jump on the division rival Indianapolis Colts at the beginning of the NFL regular season. There is still no word on whether or not Manning will miss time in the regular season, but with Peyton struggling to come back from this injury it would be safe to say that the Colts might not be the same team they have been over the past few years this season.
With that being said, the Houston Texans need to be ready for the beginning of this NFL regular season. Rising star Arian Foster is still a bit banged up with a hamstring injury and might not play in this preseason game against the Saints, but there is a possibility that he might get on the gridiron for at least a few downs.
The Houston Texans offense will almost certainly look to get running back Arian Foster involved even more in the offense this season and look to capitalize on the breakout year he had last season. With Foster firing on all cylinders, the Texans offense will be as dynamic as they come, but he will have to get on the field before the regular season to get his body in game shape.
