The Miami Dolphins will head into the 2010-2011 NFL season with high hopes of making it into the playoffs and maybe even contending for a Super Bowl title, but they will need to get some team chemistry between quarterback Chad Henne and new superstar wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
Obviously, adding Marshall to the Miami offense makes the Dolphins a much better team next season, but whether or not the addition of his perennial wide receiver will turn out to be a good move remains to be seen. In the meantime, the outspoken wideout has expressed his concern about a potential lockout in 2011 and what he intends on doing if the Miami Dolphins will not be on the gridiron in the 2011-2012 season.
Hopefully, the NFL gets a deal done which will prevent any kind of lockout after the upcoming NFL season, but if something cannot get done for any reason, Brandon Marshall has said that he will be playing in the NBA.
There is no doubt that this statement is bold to say the least as it is no easy task to play in the NBA or make the transition from one professional sport to another, but Marshall believes he is good enough to play in the league and said he would like to play for either the Denver Nuggets or the Miami Heat.
Best case scenario, the Miami Dolphins will have Brandon Marshall downfield after this upcoming season, but he definitely seems to have already made up his mind about a possible future in the NBA as he says he can without doubt play the shooting guard position in the NBA.
Personally, I think this guy needs to put his foot in his mouth as playing in a league at the same position as players like Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade is nothing you can just step into, but maybe he will prove me wrong.
