Carolina Panthers @ New York Giants Sun. Sept. 12th 1pm EST
Heading into the 2010 NFL regular season, the New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers will be two struggling franchises trying to get back to prominent status in the NFL.
Even though it was just a few years ago that the Eli Manning and company were crowned Super Bowl champs, the Giants have really struggled to get back to form as of late as their offense and defense have gotten progressively worse with every passing season. Even with these struggles, the online sportsbooks have the Giants as 7 point favorites (-7) in this week 1 matchup with the Panthers. Continue Reading…
Minnesota Vikings (12-4)
The Minnesota Vikings received some good news recently as they learned that three-time NFL MVP quarterback Brett Favre would be back under center this season, but even though one of the best quarterbacks of all-time will be leading the franchise once again, there have been some questions surrounding the banged up receiving corps.
Even though Pro Bowler Sidney Rice (hip) is set to miss about eight games this season and Percy Harvin has been dealing with severe migraines, the Silver Fox has the ability to make players around him better and that should be enough to lead them to a second straight NFC North division title. We really like the Vikings this year and feel the online sportsbooks will have favorable odds that we can really capitalize on throughout the season. Continue Reading…
Dallas Cowboys (11-5)
Coming into the 2010-2011 NFL regular season the Dallas Cowboys will be having everything going for them as they will have the opportunity to become the first NFL franchise to play a Super Bowl on their home field.
That should be enough motivation for this extremely talented team to play at a high level once again this season, but they will have their work cut out for them in the NFC competing with the likes of the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints. The online sportsbooks seem to always love the Cowboys, and this season should be no different. Continue Reading…
San Francisco 49ers (8-8)
Over the past half decade or so, the San Francisco 49ers have really struggled to become a playoff team in the NFC Conference once again, but even though they still have a ways to go before they can be considered a team that can contend with the best of the best in the NFC, the 49ers seem poised to win the NFC West division this season.
With Alex Smith coming into his own with the likes of Pro Bowl running back Frank Gore coming out of the backfield and up and coming tight end Vernon Davis and wide receiver Michael Crabtree at his disposal the 49ers offense will be much improved to compliment an already dominant defense. We show the odds set at -175 for the 49ers winning the division this year. Continue Reading…
New Orleans Saints (13-3)
The defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints will have their championship team relatively intact this year, but they aren’t being given the credit they deserve as most people believe that both the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys will finish ahead of them in the NFC Conference.
Even though they might ultimately be destined to fail in their title defense, they will almost certainly come out on top in the NFC South as long as they can hold off the up and coming Atlanta Falcons. The NFL football betting sites have the Saints at -175 for winning the NFC South. Continue Reading…
New York Jets (9-7)
No other team in the NFL made more of an improvement last season than Rex Ryan’s New York Jets.
Not only have the Gang Green become arguably the best defense in the NFL, but they also are looking like Super Bowl title contenders heading into this season.
The offense still needs work with second-year quarterback Mark Sanchez still a bit wet behind the ears, but with the addition of former NFL MVP running back LaDainian Tomlinson and former Super Bowl MVP wide receiver Santonio Holmes, the youngster will get some much needed help this season. Continue Reading…
Baltimore Ravens (9-7)
With a dominant running game led by Pro Bowl running back Ray Rice and a solid passing game led by Joe Flacco, the Baltimore Ravens finally have the offense they have been waiting for, but this season they will be even better with the addition of one of the best wide receivers in the league in Anquan Boldin.
Along with dominant offense that has the ability to put 30+ points on the scoreboard on any given Sunday, the Ravens defense will be just as good with perennial Pro Bowlers Ray Lewis and Ed Reed leading the way once again. When it comes to NFL football betting, no one does it better than Bodog. One of the top online sportsbooks in the industry, Bodog has the Ravens at -140 to win the AFC North. Continue Reading…
San Diego Chargers (13-3)
The San Diego Chargers are without a doubt the best team in the AFC West division and arguably one of the best teams in the NFL.
Over the last six years, the Chargers have absolutely dominated the AFC West division as they have won the division title five times out the last six years and have been legitimate Super Bowl title contenders in the process. Continue Reading…
Indianapolis Colts (14-2)
Peyton Manning and company had a season to remember last year as they won 14 straight games in the regular season and made it all the way to the Super Bowl to face off against an equally dominant team in the New Orleans Saints.
Even though the Colts were favored to come out on top and win their second Super Bowl title in the Manning era, the Saints were able to get the best of them and go one to win their first Super Bowl in franchise history. Continue Reading…
The St. Louis Rams will head in this NFL regular season with high hopes of finally being able to turn this struggling franchise around after drafting former Heisman trophy winner Sam Bradford to lead their offense.
Obviously, they are not going to be able to instantly turn things around as teams with a rookie quarterbacks are bound to struggle early on, but there is light at the end of tunnel for this once dominant NFC Conference team. Continue Reading…
