Dallas Cowboys (11-5)
Coming into the 2010-2011 NFL regular season the Dallas Cowboys will be having everything going for them as they will have the opportunity to become the first NFL franchise to play a Super Bowl on their home field.
That should be enough motivation for this extremely talented team to play at a high level once again this season, but they will have their work cut out for them in the NFC competing with the likes of the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints. The online sportsbooks seem to always love the Cowboys, and this season should be no different.
Philadelphia Eagles (11-5)
Last year the Philadelphia Eagles played well throughout the regular season and looked like they might have made a run in the playoffs, but they were dominated by the Dallas Cowboys in two straight games and lost both the NFC East division title and a shot at the Super Bowl.
This season the Eagles will have a new starting quarterback under center in Kevin Kolb. Even though Kolb will almost certainly be a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback in the near future, Philly will probably struggle this season as the youngster gets his feet wet with the Eagles starters.
Washington Redskins (4-12)
This season will mark the beginning of a new era of football in the nation’s capital as they will have a new head coach in two-time Super Bowl champion Mike Shanahan and six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb.
Even though the future looks much brighter in Washington, they probably won’t have instant success as they will almost certainly struggle in their first season, but will not finish last like in seasons past.
New York Giants (8-8)
The New York Giants used to be considered amongst the elite class in the NFL, but they have hit a bump in the road in the Eli Manning era and will have one of their worst seasons in recent memory as a result of the vastly improved NFC East division.
