Recovery efforts are underway in Florida, Georgia, and SC, and the response to record flooding continues in North Carolina, including thousands of water rescues supported by FEMA, Coast Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, and National Park Service responders.
FEMA does not have "approved contractors" and never solicit or accept money including charging for applications for assistance. If a county is declared eligible for further assistance, individuals and households in the declared county can apply for that assistance, officials said.
