Carmelo Anthony wants to be traded from the Denver Nuggets

Over the past couple of years, the Denver Nuggets have been one of the best teams in the Western Conference with arguably one of the most dominant scorers in the league in Carmelo Anthony.

Even though last season they showed signs of promise and could have ended up being a serious force to be reckoned with in the playoffs, the Nuggets began to fall apart late in the season and ultimately were knocked out in the first round by the Utah Jazz. Continue Reading…

Carmelo Anthony still hasn’t signed a contract extension with the Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets have been one of the best young teams in the league over the last two seasons, but last year they hit a little bit of a bump in the road as the team really struggled with head coach George Karl missing time late in the season due to his second battle with cancer.

Despite battling with cancer for the second time in his life and beating the disease once again, Karl has said that he will return to the Nuggets bench next season and hopes to lead the team back to the playoffs and a shot at an NBA title. Continue Reading…

NBA Trade: Four-Team trade sending Ariza to New Orleans and Collison to Indiana

The NBA free agent market is pretty much over and done with after the last big-name in Tracy McGrady deciding to sign with the Detroit Pistons recently, but that doesn’t mean that teams around the league aren’t still considering making trades as the Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, New Jersey Nets and the New Orleans Hornets.

Reportedly, both the Hornets and the Rockets were content with letting some of their best players hit the road this summer after just one season with the team. Continue Reading…

Oklahoma City Thunder sign rookie center Cole Aldrich

The Oklahoma City Thunder are arguably the most promising young team in the NBA as last season they went from one of the worst teams in the league to a playoff team with a very bright future.

Despite making it into the playoffs for the first time in franchise history and giving the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers a run for their money in the first round, the Oklahoma City Thunder still had a good amount of draft picks to use in the 2010 NBA Draft in order to improve their size in the paint and contend with teams like the Lakers moving forward. Boston Celtics sign Shaq to upgrade frontcourt

The Boston Celtics were noticeably struggling against the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals recently as their frontcourt just couldn’t contend with the likes of Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum in the paint.

Despite being outmatched in the paint, the Celtics were still able to take the defending NBA champion Lakers to the full seven games, but ultimately lost in game seven and went home empty handed. Continue Reading…

Heat Signs Free Agent Eddie House

Would you turn down your opportunity to play with Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, and LeBron James if you had the chance? Probably not. Neither would Eddie House – one of the best free agent shooters still left on the free agent market…or at least he was.

Thursday, House’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, released a statement that House has agreed to rejoin the Miami Heat. The contract will be for two years, with the second year of the contract being a player option, and worth almost $3 million, which isn’t as rewarding as other offers he had received but the other offers also couldn’t match one of the NBA’s best trio – Bosh, Wade, and James.
