Ever since the beginning of this NBA regular season, the Miami Heat has been in the spotlight and under the microscope. Not only did the Heat put an incredible amount of pressure on them by adding two more superstars to their roster (LeBron James and Chris Bosh) alongside the face of the franchise in Dwyane Wade, but they were considered to be the team to beat in the NBA this season with extremely high expectations.
A lot people thought this team was talented enough to challenge Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls for the best record in NBA history at 72-10. With that kind of pressure on a new team right out of the gate, the team is bound to struggle and bound to get a lot of criticism.
Even though LeBron James and company were unable to challenge the best record in NBA history, the Miami Heat has been able to lock up the second seed in the Eastern Conference just behind the Chicago Bulls. Now that the Miami Heat has officially the second seed, they are set to take on a very dangerous and young team in the Philadelphia 76ers.
Much like the Heat, the 76ers came into this season with a clean state and a new attitude as they brought in head coach Doug Collins to call the shots on the sidelines for Philly. This turned out to be just what the doctor ordered for this struggling NBA franchise as Collins has been able to lead the 76ers into the playoffs in just his first season as head coach.
Unfortunately, the Philadelphia 76ers weren’t exactly given a good shot to advance to the second round as they will have to face off against the Miami Heat in the first round. While the online sportsbook odds are not out quite yet, we will have them for you as soon as they do for the best in NBA betting.
Prediction: Miami Heat advance in five games 4-1.
