Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Jets Thurs. Nov. 25th 2010 8:20pm EST
Over the past few years the Cincinnati Bengals have been extremely streaky team as they either play consistently well and have a legitimate shot at winning the AFC North division title or play the way they have this season and have just two wins coming in the Week 12.
Even though the Bengals have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL superstar wide receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco at quarterback Carson Palmer’s disposal, this team just hasn’t been able to get it together this season and result will miss the playoffs entirely after winning winning the division title last year. Are you ready for some Thanksgiving Day NFL football betting?
Despite having no hope for the playoffs, Cincinnati Bengals will come into Week 12’s Thanksgiving Day matchup with high hopes of pulling off a major upset against arguably one of the best teams in the league in the New York Jets.
There’s no question that the New York Jets have struggled over the past few weeks of the season as they have had to pull off miracles in the fourth quarter and overtime in order to get come out with three straight wins.
With that being said, the New York Jets lockdown defense has come into question as of late as Darrelle Revis and company might not be the dominant defense that everyone thought they would be. Even though their lockdown defense may not be playing at the par as of right now, the Jets are still favored to come out on top in this matchup with a -8.5 point spread in their favor.
That is a fairly high point spread in my opinion because the Cincinnati Bengals offense is more than capable of putting up a lot of points on the board and testing this New York Jets defense, but even though I believe Rex Ryan’s squad will get the win they won’t cover this spread.
