Houston Texans @ New York Jets Sun. Nov. 21st 2010 1pm EST
The Houston Texans came into this NFL regular season with high hopes of finally being able to turn the corner and finish ahead of the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans in AFC South division, but even though they started the season by getting the best of Peyton Manning and company and seeing Pro Bowl caliber running back emerge in Arian Foster, the Texans have really dropped the ball as of late losing three straight.
Coming into Week 11, the Houston Texans will look to get their season back on track with a win over the division-leading New York Jets. Even though the Houston Texans can play with the best of the best in this league when they on their game, they will really struggle against the lockdown defense of the New York Jets who are looking to stay atop their division and hold off the red hot New England Patriots.
There is no question that the Texans have arguably one of the most talented offenses in the league with quarterback Matt Schaub under center, arguably the best wide receiver in the league in Nate Washington and one of the promising young running back in the NFL in Arian Foster, but the Jets defense is the real deal and after winning two straight games in overtime they have shown that they will not back down from anyone.
As of right now, the New York Jets are favored to come out on top in this game with a -7 point spread and even though that is a bit high and a little risky, I believe Mark Sanchez and company will cover the spread and get their eighth win of the season while maintaining first place in the AFC East division.
