After arguably the biggest free agent signing in franchise history, the Denver Broncos are ready to get to work on building a team around four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning that can contend for a Super Bowl next season and beyond. One player that stands to benefit the most from the arrival of Peyton Manning is up-and-coming wide receiver Eric Decker as he may very well turn out to be the number one target for the perennial Pro Bowler.

With so many questions surrounding the elite gunslinger and whether or not he can get back to form, Eric Decker came out to say that there are no problems with Manning’s arm via ESPN.com:

“He’s such a perfectionist. If he hits you in the belly button, he gets mad at himself for not hitting you in the chest. It’s unbelievable to be around a guy who has those standards for himself.”

Obviously, practicing his throws without huge lineman and linebackers in your face is a completely different situation than it is come the regular season. Despite that being the fact, no quarterback in the NFL prepares or perfects his game like Peyton Manning. With that being said, I believe the veteran quarterback is already gaining the respect of his receivers and will be more than ready to get on the field once the NFL regular season gets underway for the Denver Broncos.

The real concern for the Broncos moving forward now is the backup role behind Manning. With Tim Tebow now with the New York Jets and Brady Quinn with the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver has a void on the QB depth chart and will have to start looking at free agency and the 2012 NFL draft to pick up the right young kid to develop behind arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time.
