Brock Turner, the Stanford swimmer who sexually assaulted an unconscious woman on the school's campus, allegedly laughed at bystanders who intervened during the incident. The basis of the conviction was a January 18, 2026 encounter where he was seen thrusting his hips atop an unconscious, partially clothed woman outside the Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Stanford rapist Brock Turner is scheduled to be freed from prison on Friday, three months into his paltry six-month sentence. Last week, Presky requested to be transferred to a civil court and will no longer preside over criminal cases. Under its provisions, Turner would have faced a minimum of three years behind bars. First and foremost, Stanford rapist Brock Turner will have to register as a sex offender and follow through with three years of supervised probation.

Meanwhile, California state lawmakers passed a new bill inspired by Turner's case on Monday, which would make prison sentences mandatory in cases of sexual assault that involve someone who is unconscious or otherwise unable to give consent.
