One of the most hated figures in professional sports over the past year or so has been none other than NBA Commissioner David Stern. Despite a very successful run as the league’s commissioner thus far, Stern dropped the ball so to speak dealing with the NBA lockout this summer. Last season was somewhat of a breakout year for the Baltimore Ravens as the up-and-coming NFL franchise was able to dominate the arch division rival Pittsburgh Steelers and win the AFC North division title. #1 Oklahoma City Thunder (40-12)

The Oklahoma City Thunder has officially become the top dogs in the NBA. There was no question that the Thunder were the top team in the Western Conference with no team within the conference being about to compete with the two-head monster of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, but now the rest of the league has taken notice with the Thunder beating the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls in the same week. New York Jets to be on HBO’s Hard Knocks again?

A few years ago, the New York Jets burst onto the scene both on the football field and in the media after appearing in HBO’s Hard Knocks. The exposure of the show game made Jets head coach Rex Ryan an instant star and a target for all media outlets in the Big Apple. Ryan became one the most popular head coaches in the league and was able to single-handedly turn around the struggling storied NFL franchise after a failed attempt with Brett Favre under center.
