Los Angeles Clippers at Boston Celtics Weds. March 9, 2025 7:30 p.m. EST

Basketball in Los Angeles is getting better and better with each passing year. Not only have the Los Angeles Lakers won two straight NBA titles and appeared in three straight NBA Finals, but the Clippers have also started to become relevant in the City of Angels once again as well.

There is no question that the Los Angeles Clippers are still amongst the worst teams in the league and will miss the playoffs once again, but they have definitely started to turn the corner as of late as rookie phenom Blake Griffin has quickly turned into one of the best forwards in this game. Along with Griffin become a force to be reckoned with in the paint for the Clippers, the “other team” in Los Angeles has also gotten some much needed production out of their leading scorer Eric Gordon.

Unfortunately, even though these two young players are a lethal combination when playing together, Gordon has a tendency to be a bit injury prone. With that being said, the Clippers have struggled offensively without their leading scorer and will have to play a little longer without him once again as he is nursing a sore wrist for the next seven to 10 days.

On Wednesday night, the Clippers will travel to Boston to take on the Eastern Conference leading Celtics at the TD Garden. Even though the Celtics are one of the best teams in the league once again, the Clippers did give them a run for their money recently in Los Angeles, but Blake Griffin and company fell 99-92.

The Clippers will be hoping to pull off the upset over the Celtics in Boston, but I believe that Kevin Garnett and company have started to get on a roll and should get their sixth straight win.
