The NBA free agent market will hit its climax on Thursday night at 9pm EST as the biggest name in the NBA free agency will officially announce which team he plans to play with next season.
There has been no big-name free agent NBA player more sot after or more pursued by multiple NBA franchises in the history of the league than two-time NBA MVP LeBron James. No matter which way you shake it, LeBron has single handedly ruled this NBA free agent market.
Even though LeBron James will be announcing what will be his next team Thursday night, or possibly his re-signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, his future is still very much up in the air and the New York Knicks would also have a great chance of signing this superstar.
Personally, I believe LeBron will either be going to the Miami Heat or the New York Knicks. The Cleveland Cavaliers obviously have a soft spot in his heart, but LeBron has realized over the past couple of seasons that he just can’t win the players around him in Ohio. Online sportsbooks and betting sites will go nuts if James signs with the Heat.
There have been plenty of rumors swirling around the league over the summer, but as LeBron’s decision draws near, the King’s choice can only be one of two teams in my opinion.
If LeBron goes to Miami to play alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, multiple NBA titles are sure to follow, but if he goes to New York, the spotlight will be aimed directly at King James and his throne in the Big Apple.
This decision will not only be something that will drastically change the NBA over the next five years or so, but it will be an indication of what really drives LeBron, money or winning.
If he is New York bound, money is the deciding factor as the King is set to make a lot of money with a huge contract and endorsements. If Miami turns out to his next destination, James only has one thing on his mind and that is strictly winning championships.
