Ben Roethlisberger has a hard time the past year or so. He has finally learned though that he will not be held accountable for supposed sexual assault charges made against him by a Georgia college student. The bad thing about it is, though, is that he is still being disciplined by the Steelers or the league for his alleged behavior. He does, however, remain an active part in a civil ongoing suit in the state of Nevada where he allegedly sexually assaulted a hotel employee during his stay.
Despite the fact of the above information, he has now begun participating in the teams conditioning sessions and weightlifting activities. He is currently scheduled to make his first appearance at the first on field Steelers practice session this coming Monday.
Roethlisberger does have to deal with the fact that he has just lost a beef jerky sponsorship. The sponsorship came from a company based out of Pittsburgh. Supposedly, he isn’t quite meeting the contract standards of the company. The company stated Tuesday that their decision was based off of information that the prosecutors presented at the Monday news conference, which is when everyone learned that Roethlisberger would not be prosecuted over the allegations of sexual assault.
This Pittsburgh based company sold a specific product, Big Ben’s Beef Jerky, that had the quarterback’s picture on it and were sold in are convenience stores and supermarkets.
This should have been a 100% happy time for Roethlisberger learning that he was not being prosecuted, but by losing a sponsorship deal, he may be a little upset about the whole situation. Nonetheless, I’m sure he is still happy about the charges being dropped against him.
Here’s to a hopefully good NFL season!

It is kinda weird that this is not the first incident of sexual battery for big Ben, but I hate how the guy’s name is always released from the start and then there is a stigma of guilt that goes with it - regardless of if it is true or not. May be true, not sure, but these kind of things always make me wonder.
