San Diego Chargers vs Houston Texans Sun. Nov. 7th 1pm EST
The San Diego Chargers have been one of the most dominant teams in the NFL over the past decade or so, but no matter how talented their rosters is on any given season, Norv Turner’s squad has been infamous for being slow starters.
This season the Chargers came into the NFL regular season with high hopes of contending for a Super Bowl title and being among the best of the best in the AFC Conference, but unfortunately they have really struggled in the first few weeks of the season and will be coming into their Week 9 matchup with the Houston Texans sitting just above the Denver Broncos in the AFC West division and sporting a 3-5 record. Bodog, one of the leading NFL football betting sites, has the Chargers as 3 point favorites.
Obviously, there is still time to turn around their season as they do play in a division where the division title could be up for grabs at season’s end, but they will need to keep winning football games to even be in contention for a playoff spot.
Fortunately, the San Diego Chargers are coming off a win against the Tennessee Titans and they will be looking to keep up that momentum in Week 9 against the Houston Texans.
As of right now, the spread for this game is -1.5 in the San Diego Chargers favor and even though both teams need wins from here on out to keep in contention for their division titles, I believe this will be where Philip Rivers and company will get on a roll and start looking like the team everyone thought they would be before this NFL regular season even began back in September.
Taking the Chargers to cover the spread would be the wise decision here as they should come out with the win.
