Washington Redskins vs Chicago Bears Sun. Oct. 24th 1pm EST
The NFC Conference has proven to be pretty tough and unpredictable this season as some of the conference’s best teams have struggled this year and others have exceeded expectations.
Two teams in the conference that continue to play well every single week on both sides of the football are the revamped Washington Redskins and the defensive minded Chicago Bears. Even though both of these teams have talented players, many people didn’t expect them to do much of anything this season as they were set to compete against Super Bowl title contenders within their divisions like the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings.
Fortunately, the Redskins and the Bears have benefited from their division rivals problems this season and have a legitimate shot of winning their division titles and making a run in the playoffs, but in Week 7 they will have to face off against one another in what will probably be a hard fought battle from start to finish.
As of right now, I would say the Chicago Bears have the edge in this matchup as they are potentially the better team on both sides of the football, but with six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb under center and two-time Super Bowl champion head coach Mike Shanahan calling the shots on the sidelines, anything can happen.
The one thing to keep your eye on in this game is the battle of the big-name quarterbacks as the Bears Jay Cutler will try and get the best of Donovan McNabb. This game will be won and lost by these two elite quarterbacks as it will be tough for them to score on these defenses that are amongst the best in the league.
In the end though, I believe Jay Cutler will lead his Chicago Bears to victory over the Washington Redskins and improve the team’s record to 5-2.
