San Francisco 49ers vs Carolina Panthers Sun. Oct. 24th 1pm EST
Coming into this NFL regular season, the San Francisco 49ers were considered to be the team to beat in the NFC West division as they seemed to finally have all the right pieces of the puzzle in place to contend for the division title and make a run in the playoffs.
With head coach Mike Singletary calling the shots on the sidelines and quarterback Alex Smith finally starting to turn things around after many disappointing years, the 49ers were a popular pick to make some things happen in the NFC Conference this season, but unfortunately they have really struggled to start the season as they are coming off their first win of the year against the cross town rival Oakland Raiders. But using the raiders in any scenario involving NFL football betting is a bad idea.
Despite winning just one game on the year, the San Francisco 49ers have played really well at times against some of the best teams in the league like the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons.
There is no question the San Francisco 49ers have shown signs of promise this season, but until now it seemed like there was no hope for a division title after starting 0-5. With the win over the Oakland Raiders and the fact that they should have a pretty easy game ahead of them in Week 7 against the winless Carolina Panthers, the San Francisco 49ers have a perfect opportunity to turn their season around and get back into contention in the NFC West division.
As of right now, the San Francisco 49ers are favored to come out on top in this matchup with a -3 point spread. That spread is a gift in my opinion as Alex Smith and company will almost certainly win this game and by a large margin.
