Usually the AFC South division is dominated by four-time NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts, but this season it seems like things might be changing within the division. The Jacksonville Jaguars have really been able to come on strong as of late while flying under the radar as the division leader for most of the year.
As expected, most people have anticipated the Jaguars falling flat on their face and slowly losing their grip on the division lead while the Colts get back on track, but that hasn’t been the case as David Garrard and company will come into Sunday’s AFC South division showdown with a solid grip on first place.
Last week the Jacksonville Jaguars were able to pull off the comeback against the Oakland Raiders and grab their eight win of the season. If they can keep playing at a high level and get the best of the Colts for the second time this season, the Jaguars will lock up the division title and punch their ticket to the playoffs.
As of right now, the Jaguars continue to get no respect from the odds makers as they will be -5 point underdogs coming into this matchup with the Colts, but I believe an upset might be on the horizon here as NFL MVP candidate running back Maurice Jones-Drew and company could to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with.
It is no secret that the Indianapolis Colts have really struggled as of late as they are pretty banged up on the offensive side of the football right now, but they might get their toughest challenge of the season against a Jacksonville Jaguars team that have their sights set on making the playoffs one way or another.
