#1 Green Bay Packers (6-0)
The cheese heads were able to do it again in Week 6 as they made easy work of the lowly St. Louis Rams, 24-3. Even though this wasn’t as dominant a performance as many expected offensively, Aaron Rodgers and company did enough to get the win and improve to a perfect 6-0 record.
Not until Week 8 will be the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers get tested as they will almost certainly improved to 7-0 with a win over the division rival Minnesota Vikings next week and could have their hands full against the San Diego Chargers in Week 8.
#2 New England Patriots (5-1)
The New England Patriots may have struggled a bit against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6, but they were still able to come out on top and improve their record to 5-1 while moving into first place in the AFC East division.
Now the Patriots will head into their bye week and will have to prepare to take on the defending AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.
#3 Baltimore Ravens (4-1)
With every passing week the Baltimore Ravens continue to prove that they are a legitimate Super Bowl title contender and ready to make the next step to become one of the league’s elite. Next week the Ravens will go on the road to face the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars and should get their fifth win of the season.
#4 San Francisco 49ers (5-1)
After an impressive win over the formerly undefeated Detroit Lions in Week 6, the San Francisco 49ers has officially become the real deal this season with playoff aspirations. Jim Harbaugh and company still have a ways to go before they can reach Super Bowl contender status, but they are on the right path right now with a 5-1 record to their credit.
#5 New Orleans Saints (4-2)
After much needed bye week, the New Orleans Saints were set to take on the division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6 and come out with a convincing win. Unfortunately, that didn’t turn out to be the case as the Bucs got the win and the Saints were given a bit of a wakeup call in the process.
