The NFL lockout is basically over at this point in time as the players and the owners are polishing their new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and are ready to get back to business as usual. Once the new deal gets finalized, all the teams around the league will be extremely busy as they will be doing everything within their power to re-sign their free agents and acquire new players through free agency.
Along with signing and re-signing free agents, all 32 teams will be exploring trades options and one big-name player that is available and ready to be traded is up-and-coming quarterback Kevin Kolb. With Michael Vick coming back into his own last season as the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, Kevin Kolb is ready to move on and be starter elsewhere instead of playing Vick’s shadow in Philly.
With that being said, the trade market in the NFL has been buzzing about where Kevin Kolb could end up before next season. The one team that seemed to be more interested than any other was the Seattle Seahawks as they were convinced that veteran quarterback Matt Hasselback would be leaving town via free agency.
Even though the Seattle Seahawks are still a potential trade partner for the Philadelphia Eagles, there are two other teams that have taken interest in the promising young quarterback as well. The Arizona Cardinals and the Miami Dolphins have been seriously deficient under center last season and would love to bring in a franchise caliber quarterback like Kevin Kolb to fill the void and get their offense moving in the right direction.
Reportedly, Kolb has already started looking for real estate in Arizona which has many people believing that the potential perennial Pro Bowler could be on his way to the Cardinals once the NFL lockout is over.
