New Orleans Saints vs Carolina Panthers Sun. Nov. 7th 2010 1pm EST
The defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints came into this NFL regular season with hopes of dominating the NFC Conference once again and hopefully making a run at a repeat, but with three losses in the first half of the season, many people have started to doubt whether or not Drew Brees and company still have what it takes to compete with the best of the best in the NFL.
Fortunately, the New Orleans Saints are coming off an impressive win over one of the best teams in the AFC Conference this season in the Pittsburgh Steelers and will look to keep the momentum going heading into Week 9 against the division rival Carolina Panthers. This is a great week for NFL football betting.
Even though the Carolina Panthers have been one of the better teams in the NFC Conference over the last five years or so, the last two seasons have been pretty awful to say the least as they have gone through a bit of a rebuilding process with changes at quarterback and defensive end.
Coming into this matchup, the Saints will be looking to keep up their winning and continue to battle with the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South division. With a win over the Carolina Panthers, the defending champs will gain some ground in the division and improve their chances of taking over the top spot later in the season.
There is no question that the New Orleans Saints will be favored in this game and favored by at least a touchdown or more, but the Carolina Panthers might be able to give them a run for their money as almost every divisional game is close and comes down to the wire.
