Kansas City Chiefs @ San Diego Chargers Sun. Dec. 12th 2010 4:15pm EST
The AFC West division has been pretty up and down all season long as the division lead has bounced around quite a bit since the beginning of the NFL regular season.
After the first few weeks of the regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs looked like the team to beat in the AFC West, but as the year has rolled on, the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders have proven to be legitimate threats to win the division title as they have come on strong in the second half of the year.
In Week 14, the San Diego Chargers will host the division-leading Kansas City Chiefs in what will almost certainly be a battle from start to finish as these two teams will be looking to win every single game from here on out in order to remain playoff bound at season’s end. We have not fared well with our NFL football betting when it involved the Chargers as they just have not been the same.
Even though the Chargers seemed to have turned the corner over the last month or so as they headed into Week 13 having won four straight games, Philip Rivers and company hit a bump in the road last week as they were beaten convincingly for the second time this season by the up and coming Oakland Raiders.
With the loss to the Raiders, the Chargers may have seriously hurt their chances of winning the AFC West, but a win over the Chiefs in Week 14 may put them right back on track.
Despite this being a hard fought battle from start to finish, the Kansas City Chiefs will almost certainly come out on top in this AFC West showdown as they are without a doubt the better team on both sides of the football right now and will look to maintain their two game lead in the division.
