The Portland Trail Blazers aren’t the team that many people thought they would when they started to collect of a lot of promising young talent. With players like Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and former first overall draft pick Greg Oden, the Blazers were considered to be a serious force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference in the near future.
Unfortunately, injuries have hit this team harder than any other in the league. With Greg Oden failing to play an entire season and Brandon Roy having similar problems with his knees, the Portland Trail Blazers have gone from a team on the rise to a team that might have to start rebuilding once again.
Even though Brandon Roy was told recently that he might only have a couple more seasons left in his knees, the Portland Trail Blazers just made a deal that could quickly make them a contender in the Western Conference. Despite not having Roy playing at a 100%, Aldridge has been playing out of his mind as of late and has become arguably one of the elite players in this league at his position.
Fortunately, LaMarcus Aldridge will finally get some help to carry this team with the addition of defensive-minded forward Gerald Wallace from the Charlotte Bobcats. As arguably one of the most underrated players in this league today, Gerald Wallace has continued to fly under the radar every single season, but can be as good as it gets on both ends of the floor.
Reportedly, the Portland Trail Blazers have sent center Joel Przybilla, forward Dante Cunningham, two first-round draft picks and center Sean Marks to the Charlotte Bobcats in exchange for the Gerald Wallace.
This move was supposedly a way for NBA legend and Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan to clear his payroll and pave the way for landing big-name free agents in the near future. We will see if this has any impact on this weeks NBA betting.
