Arizona Cardinals vs Minnesota Vikings Sun. Nov. 7th 1pm EST
The Minnesota Vikings have been in the headlines all season long and even though this team loves being in the spotlight, they have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Not only has Brett Favre been in the headlines for playing poorly in his farewell tour, but he has also been frequently in the news for problems off the field and controversy about his relationship with head coach Brad Childress. Bodog Sportsbook has the Vikings as +8 favorites this week over the Cards.
As if it weren’t bad enough that this team has been surrounded in controversy all season long, they have only won two games on the year and are in danger of missing the playoffs entirely.
Just like almost any team in the league right now, there are still opportunities for Brett Favre and company to turn their season around, but a loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 9 could be devastating to say the least as it would be really tough to come back.
One thing that makes this game interesting besides the fact that this is basically a must win situation for the Minnesota Vikings is that this will be the first game they play without superstar wide receiver Randy Moss who was waived from the team earlier in the week.
Even though Brett Favre will be without his best downfield threat this week, I believe the Minnesota Vikings should come out on top in this one and get their third win of the season.
There is no question that the Arizona Cardinals are a talented football team, but they are flawed to say the least as they are dealing with some serious problems at the quarterback position with both Max Hall and Derek Anderson struggling under center.
As of right now, the spread is a bit high at -8, so I would take the Cardinals at +8, but the Vikings should win the game.
