Dallas Cowboys vs Houston Texans Sun. Sept. 26th 1pm EST
The Houston Texans have only been playing in the NFL for about eight years now, but despite playing for less than a decade, the NFL’s newest expansion team is threatening to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history as they have played extremely well in the first two weeks of the season with wins over the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Redskins.
In Week 3, Matt Schaub and company will be tested for a third straight week against a very good team in the Dallas Cowboys. Even though the Cowboys have failed to live up to their Super Bowl title contender status in the first two weeks of the season by losing to the Washington Redskins and the Chicago Bears in consecutive weeks, it would be hard to count them out in the NFC Conference just yet.
We went with Bodog on this one for our NFL football betting as they have the line set at Texans -3.
As of right now, the Houston Texans are favored to come out on top in this battle for Texas with a -3 point spread, but Wade Phillips and company know they have to step it up this week or heads might start to roll as Cowboys owner Jerry Jones grows increasingly impatient.
With a win over the Texans, the Cowboys will be right back in the mix in the NFC Conference once again and might be able to salvage their standing in the NFC East division moving forward, but with the way Houston has been playing over the past two weeks, the Dallas defense could be in for a long day as they struggle to try and contain this potent offense.
Personally, I believe the Dallas Cowboys will ultimately be the better team down the stretch, but I would have to say the safe bet would be to take the Houston Texans in this one. Many online sportsbooks agree and the odds are set at -3 in favor of the Texans.
