Mass Brawl Breaks Out Between Jake Paul & Nate Diaz Teams At Prefight Faceoff

After the two fighters engaged in their customary face-off during the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz news conference on Thursday, things became physical on stage.

Things heated up between Paul, Diaz, and their respective security teams, resulting in a shoving brawl with punches being thrown between both camps’ security squads.

The former UFC star Diaz and the prizefighter-turned-YouTuber Paul will square off in a boxing match on Saturday night at the American Airlines Centre.

The two sides have been at odds with one another for about a year. One of Paul’s security personnel allegedly pursued Diaz and his team onstage, according to Diaz’s team. Paul reacted on social media after learning that a member of Diaz’s crew who was on stage punched someone before being struck by a security officer for Paul.

Paul later said on X, formerly Twitter, “Nate’s team has emailed my team trying to claim assault after his team swung first.” It appears that the person who struck initially is receiving stitches in the hospital. Hilarious these phoney thugs acting like this!”

When a member of Paul’s Betr media team asked Diaz a question and said he couldn’t wait for Paul to knock Diaz out, the news conference became tense. At a press conference in May, the same person disparaged Diaz’s brother Nick, another UFC veteran.

Paul wrote about Diaz on his Facebook page later that day: “You threatened MVPs co-founder who has been a partner to you and your team every step of the way? He has repeatedly put your closest friend on. Stupid.”

During the altercation between the two squads last October during Paul’s fight with Anderson Silva, Diaz smacked the security guard. Throughout the press conference, Diaz repeatedly reminded the security guard of this.
