Two wildfires are burning out of control in the Spokane area: one on Beacon Hill in north Spokane and another in the Spangle area south of Spokane.
The blaze in Grand Teton park made a 5-mile run on Monday, forcing the closure of a 10-mile stretch of US 89-191-287 that leads into Yellowstone's South Entrance.
More firefighters are headed to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks in northwest Wyoming.
Meanwhile, people in the community of Wellpinit on the Spokane Indian Reservation have been told to evacuate.
A road opened Saturday after crews cleared trees and rocks that fell on the pavement after the fire moved through. The Kahlotus blaze is estimated to be more than 34 square miles, mostly sageland.
Parts of West Fork Trail Creek Road are closed. A team of fire managers was being brought in to help, although the fire was not yet being actively suppressed.
Despite the fire's size, a key route through the area reopened over the weekend. The fire was less than three miles from Madison Junction, an area that includes a campground, visitor facilities and staff housing.
A third wildfire is burning north of Davenport.
That inferno has already burned 53 structures and 37,101 acres in Central California near the Hearst Castle. The fires have burned more than 25 structures and are threatening hundreds of others, prompting evacuations. That part of the fire has claimed more than a dozen homes and is between 5 and 10-thousand acres with 30% containment.

SALEM, Ore. - The Oregon Department of Forestry reports that since January 1, there have been 486 human-caused wildfires, and at least one of them is the work of an arsonist.
"These fires threaten people, property and the natural resources of eastern Washington", Inslee said in a statement.
That blaze, which started in the county's rugged coastal hills on August 13, has destroyed 36 homes and continued to threaten almost 1,900 more, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire).
The blaze in San Luis Obispo and Monterey counties remains 35 percent contained after destroying 36 homes. Residents of about 125 homes have been warned to prepare to evacuate, but nobody has been ordered to leave by Monday.
A house trailer burned before the fire was contained but the person living there escaped, KECI-TV reported. More than 200 fire personnel have responded to the fire and more are on their way.
The Yale Fire and the Wellesley Fire efforts and coordination will be combined this morning and further referred to as the Spokane Complex Fire.
No homes were lost, but a hay barn was destroyed, said Franklin County Emergency Management officials.
The office also was working with ranchers to get cattle out of the fire's path. It's one of four fires burning in Yellowstone, and warm, windy weather was expected again Monday.
The Cherry Road fire, started Sunday in eastern OR, spans nearly 50 square miles. Firefighters successfully extinguished small spot fires that erupted as wind-blown embers crossed fire lines.
A wildfire burning through timber in the central Idaho mountains has expanded to 150 square miles.
Inslee said, "Our forests and wild lands are under attack from climate change", which has caused "explosive conditions". The cause of the fire is unknown.
More than 400 homes remained threatened by the fire. Fire officials say the blaze was about 3 ½ miles from the hilltop estate on Saturday. It was ignited Saturday when a car's catalytic converter busted, sending hot debris into the nearby grassy rangeland.
