There's also a low pressure disturbance off the coast of Louisiana that has only a 10 percent chance of organizing into a formation over the next five days. Upper-level winds are preventing significant development of the kind needed for the storm to become a hurricane. However, environmental conditions could become a little more conducive for development early next week when the system moves into the eastern Gulf of Mexico. It's far too early to know what, if any, impacts the storm could have on Hawaii. Florida should expect rain which could continue till next week.

The Atlantic Ocean has been fairly quite for the 2016 Hurricane season. For the most part, standard late August weather with highs in the 90s and the daily threat of passing storms, but remember the weather next week will depend on the potential tropical weather situation. A hurricane hasn't hit Florida since 2005, so officials want to remind people who may have become complacent that it's best to prepare ahead of time and have some supplies on hand.
