The Final Four is officially in the books and the teams to advance were no real surprise as the #5 Butler Bulldogs have made the NCAA National Championship for the first time in the school’s history and Coach K and the #1 Duke Blue Devils are going back for yet another shot at winning it all!
Even though it has been a somewhat disappointing pairing for teams coming down the stretch in March Madness, the National Championship game between the Bulldogs and the Blue Devils could turn out to be an all out battle.
Whenever you have a big underdog like Butler taking on one of the best college basketball programs like Duke the potential for a major upset is always a possibility, but this time around I think might see more of the same that we witnessed in the Final Four as Coach K was able to lead his boys over the #2 West Virginia Mountaineers with a convincing 21 point victory over Bob Huggins squad.
Now the Blue Devils will try and finish off this run to a National title by trying to dispatch the Butler Bulldogs in the same fashion.
This game will be no easy task for Duke in the first half as they will almost certainly get the best Butler has to offer, but in the second half things will return to normal as the Blue Devils will start to pull away and distance themselves from the Bulldogs as they will in my opinion go on to win another NCAA Championship in the Coach K era.
Here is the spread for the National Championship game:
#5 Butler Bulldogs vs. #1 Duke Blue Devils (-7) Mon. April 5th 9:15pm EST Total: 128.5
Take the Duke Blue Devils at -7.
