Shaq could return to the Cleveland Cavaliers before end of NBA regular season

The NBA regular season is coming down to the final stretch with all the teams in the league either making plans for next season or heading into the playoffs in an effort to compete for an NBA title.

Unfortunately, not all the teams heading into the postseason are worthy of competing for title, but the teams that are will be making sure all their key players are healthy and ready to help them in the playoffs.

One of the teams that looks like it has a solid chance of competing for an NBA title in the playoffs and possibly being the frontrunner to win the whole are the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Even though LeBron James and company dropped the ball last season in the Eastern Conference finals against the Orlando Magic by only winning one of five games played, this season the Cavs have gotten right back to their old dominant ways with the addition of two All-Star caliber players.

In the offseason, the Cavs went out and traded for future hall of fame center Shaquille O’Neal from the Phoenix Suns. The move was made solely to defend the Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard in the paint, but a few weeks ago Shaq went down with a thumb injury which was thought to keep him out the rest of the NBA regular season, but fortunately for King James and company, the big fella might be back a little earlier than expected.

Reportedly, Shaq’s rehab on his injury finger is going quite well, in fact, better than expected. As a result, Shaq might be able to make his return on the last game of the regular season against the Atlanta Hawks.

This is very good news for the Cavs as Shaq presence will be vital for their run at an NBA title.
