Game 2 of ALCS – New York Yankees @ Texas Rangers October 16, 2010 4:07 p.m. ET

Saturday, the Texas Rangers will host the New York Yankees for the second game of the American League Championship Series.  With C.J. Wilson on the mound as the Rangers starting pitcher, Game 1 went really well Friday night for the Rangers through the seventh inning.

The Rangers were leading the Yankees 5-1 at the start of the eighth inning then the Yankees finally got in gear and quickly took over with a 6-5 lead on the Rangers and was able to hold on to that lead through the end of the game.  From what looked like a happy beginning to the ALCS for the Texas Rangers, ended abruptly in the eighth inning of the game when the Yankees took over and crashed their celebration.

New York will send right-handed pitcher Phil Hughes to the mound as their starting pitcher Saturday afternoon, which will be the pitcher’s second postseason start.  Through the regular season, Hughes was 18-8 with an earned run average of 4.19. During Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Minnesota Twins, Hughes did not allow a single run and only four hits over the course of seven innings resulting in a victory of 6-1.

Texas will counter with right-handed pitcher Colby Lewis on Saturday, which will also be his second postseason start.  Through the regular season, Lewis was 12-13 with an ERA of 3.72.  In Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays, Lewis only allowed two hits as well as five walks over five innings, which resulted in a 6-3 loss for the Rangers.  Lewis hasn’t pitched against the Yankees since back in August of 2003 at Yankee Stadium.

Known as one of the most trusted online sportsbooks, Bodog has the Yankees listed as moneyline favorites at -125 and the Rangers as the underdog at +115.  The runline is -1 ½ and +1 ½ for the Yankees and Rangers respectively.  Totals are set at -110 Over/Under 9.
