It has been a long wait and a lot of NFL fans in this country were starting to get nervous about missed games next season, but now football is back to business as usual. So despite all the speculation about the league keeping the players locked out while football is supposed to be played, the owners and the players have finally agreed to terms on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that will get the next NFL regular season started right on time.
This is nothing but a relief for all parties involved as this NFL lockout went much further than it should have. The consensus around the league and amongst the players was that the NFL was destined to miss time in the upcoming NFL regular season, but thankfully that didn’t turn out to be the case and everyone can now put this whole fiasco behind them.
Even though the owners and the players would have suffered for missed time next season, the real victim throughout this entire process has been the fans. All the fans do is make this league money by filling the stadiums, buying apparel and rocking the gear, but they weren’t given much consideration during this process.
Thankfully, the NFL lockout is over and everyone involved, including the fans, can move forward with a smile on their faces as professional football in this country is finally back on track!
Now the free agent frenzy will begin as there are a lot of decisions to be made from here on out by all 32 teams in the NFL. The consensus right now is that this process will be absolute madness and might get a bit messy. With only a short time in which do business and haggle back and forth, teams and free agents in the league will be forced to sign sooner than anticipated.
Things will get interesting from here on out, but thank God football has gotten back to business as usual!
