Percy Harvin Demands to be Traded by the Minnesota Vikings

Once future Hall of Famer Brett Favre decided to sign with the Minnesota Vikings a few years ago, no other player on the team, outside of Sidney Rice, benefited more than Percy Harvin. With Harvin’s career as a wide receiver in the NFL a bit questionable after a successful run at Florida with Tim Tebow, no one was sold that he could emerge as a viable option for an offense in the NFL.

After one year as Favre’s favorite target in Minnesota, Harvin became a household name for NFL fans as displaying his incredible speed and ability to be a perennial Pro Bowler. Even though Harvin’s career took off while playing with Favre under center, the former Florida star was struggled through injuries and a persistent migraine problem.

Despite that being the case, Harvin has managed to become one of the best players on the team with the likes of superstar running back Adrian Peterson. Unfortunately, even though they’ve been a lethal combination over the past few years in Minnesota; that might all be coming to an end with Harvin no longer happy with the Vikings.

Reportedly, Harvin has asked the Vikings to trade him. Harvin recently expressed his ill feelings towards to the team and no longer wants to be a part of the organization. Even though Harvin is clearly unhappy in Minnesota and will most likely become a big problem over the next year or so, the Vikings remain reluctant to find a trade partner has they feel he’s a big piece to the puzzle in Minnesota.

Harvin has two years left on his current contract with the Vikings in which he’s set to make $915,000 next season and $1.5 million the season after. The low numbers of the next two years may be a reason the wide receiver would like to be dealt elsewhere.
