Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons Sun. Nov. 7th 2010 1pm EST
Over the past couple of seasons, the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints have been the cream of the crop in the NFC South division, but this season it seems as though times might be changing within the division as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons have emerged as dominant teams and are threatening to dethrone the champs.
Coming into Week 9, the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have played extremely well and will have identical records at 5-2. Not only have these two teams exceeded expectations up to this point in the season, especially the Bucs, but they whom ever come out on top in this NFC South showdown will be the first place team in the division. For the best in NFL football betting, catch all the odds at Bodog.
Obviously, the Falcons have everything to lose in this football game as a loss would knock them down to second place and make the run for the division title much tough than it was just a week ago.
There is no question that the NFC South division is still wide open as the New Orleans Saints only have one more loss than either of these teams, but this game is huge regardless as it could dictate the outcome of this division and which teams within the NFC South will be fighting for a playoff spot.
Ironically enough, even though these two teams will come into this game dead even, the spread says otherwise as the Atlanta Falcons are big favorites in this one with a -8 point spread. This is pretty ridiculous in my opinion as the Tampa Bay Bucs will put up a fight and make this a close game.
The best bet here is to take the Bucs at +8.
