Philadelphia Eagles vs Tennessee Titans Sun. Oct. 24th 1pm EST
The Philadelphia Eagles came into this NFL regular season with high hopes of taking their franchise in a different direction after they traded six-time Pro Bowl quarterback and face of the franchise in Donovan McNabb to the division rival Washington Redskins.
With McNabb headed to the nation’s capital, the Redskins turned to backup quarterback Kevin Kolb to shoulder the load this season under center and even though he went down with a concussion in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, he returned a few weeks later after Michael Vick went down with torn rib cartilage.
Fortunately, despite not playing that well earlier in the season, Kolb has led the Eagles to two straight wins over the past two weeks and will try for third straight against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7.
Even though the Philadelphia Eagles have played some impressive football over the past two weeks, they will come into this week’s matchup without Michael Vick once again and arguably one of the best wide receivers in the league in DeSean Jackson who suffered a severe concussion last week against the Atlanta Falcons.
As of right now, the Tennessee Titans are favored to win this matchup with a -3 point spread, but the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t the only team with injury problems as Vince Young went down with a knee and ankle injury last game on Monday Night Football against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
On Thursday, Vince Young was listed as questionable as he was still noticeably limping during practice on Wednesday and didn’t practice on Thursday. With that being said, I believe that Young will most likely sit out Sunday’s game and that should even the playing field, but in the end I believe the Philadelphia Eagles will win their third straight while covering the spread.
