NFL Week 3: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Dallas Cowboys

Bucs @ Cowboys Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 1 p.m. ET

Right out of the gate the Dallas Cowboys were tested to start the 2012 NFL regular season facing off against the arch division rival and defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants. With the Giants playing on their home field at MetLife Stadium and coming off another title in the Eli Manning era, New York were the clear favorites to come out on top in the NFL season-opener.

Unfortunately for New York, Tony Romo and company came to play and were looking to make an impression against their division rivals. The Cowboys went onto win the Week 1 matchup with the Giants and proved that they may be a forced to be reckoned with in the NFC Conference this season.

Ironically enough, Week 2 was another story altogether for the Cowboys as they struggled against the up-and-coming Seattle Seahawks on the road. Dallas has had trouble against Seattle over the past few years and the trend continued with the Cowboys’ offense unable to get on track.

Coming off disappointing loss to the Seahawks, the Cowboys will get back to work at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

Last week, the Bucs gave the defending champs a run for their money by picking off Manning three times and getting out to a commanding lead. Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, Manning and company kicked into high gear and pulled off an incredible come-from-behind win.

This week both the Cowboys and Bucs will be looking to bounce back from their losses in Week 2 in a matchup that may turn out to be one of the more competitive showdowns in Week 3. As of right now, the Cowboys have the edge at home with a -7 point spread in their favor.

Dallas will most likely come out on top this week, but it will be a challenge with a game that will come down to the wire in my opinion.

Take Bucs at +7.
