Houston Texans @ Philadelphia Eagles Thurs. Dec. 2nd 8:20pm EST
Before they came into their Week 12 matchup with the Chicago Bears, the Philadelphia Eagles were arguably the hottest team in the NFL as they had seemingly unstoppable offense led by NFL MVP candidate quarterback Michael Vick and one of the best defenses in the league to maintain leads.
Despite being the favorite to come out on top in the NFC East division this season, the Eagles were given a bit of a wakeup call in Week 12 as the Bears defense were able to contain Michael Vick and help get their fourth straight win of the season.
In Week 13, Michael Vick and company will not have much time to recover from their loss to the Chicago Bears as they will be hosting the Houston Texans on Thursday Night Football.
Even though the Houston Texans are one of the most talented teams in the league on the offensive side of the football, I believe they will really struggle against the Philadelphia Eagles who will be looking to get right back on track with a big win.
As of right now, the Philadelphia Eagles have a fairly big point spread in their favor at -9.
Obviously, any spread over -7 is a bit risky to take, but fortunately these two teams are as high scoring as any in the league and in this case taking the over 50.5 would be the wise decision in my opinion.
I fully anticipate a classic performance out of Michael Vick as he will look to continue to prove that he is the best offensive player in this league. The MVP candidate will try and dominate this offense with both his arm and legs while leading his team to yet another victory. This NFL football betting matchup has huge potential if Houston can cover the 8 points.
