Buffalo Bills @ Minnesota Vikings Sun. Dec. 5th 2010 1pm EST
Last week the Minnesota Vikings played their first game in the post Brad Childress era and the results were as predicted as they were able to beat the Washington Redskins, but it wasn’t exactly convincing victory as three-time NFL MVP quarterback Brett Favre failed to throw a touchdown pass and perennial Pro Bowl running back Adrian Peterson went down with a sprained ankle as the team won by just four points 17-13.
In week 13, the Minnesota Vikings will be playing host to one most resilient teams in the NFL today in the Buffalo Bills. Even though the Bills only have two wins on the season, they have been able to give the best teams in the league a run for their money week in and week out.
Despite losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the Buffalo Bills took the defensive minded Steelers to the brink as they had a chance to win the game, but a drop pass by up and coming wide receiver Steve Johnson in the endzone cost them their third win of the season.
As of right now, the Minnesota Vikings are the favorites to come out on top in this matchup with a -5 point spread. Even though I believe that Brett Favre and company are more than capable of covering that spread as their offense can be amongst the most potent in the NFL when firing on all cylinders, the fact that Adrian Peterson’s playing status is up in the air and that the Buffalo Bills will be pumped up coming into this game, the best bet here would be to take the Bills at +5.
The Vikings should win this game, but I think it will be another close one with a field goal deciding the winner.
