New York Giants @ New Orleans Saints Mon. Nov. 28, 2011 8:30 p.m. EST
There haven’t been many Monday Night Football games that have been able to live up to the hype or entertain avid NFL fans this season, but this week may be the exception as two very good teams in the NFC Conference battle it out in the Superdome.
With the New Orleans Saints really starting to hit their stride after beating two division rivals in consecutive weeks with wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (27-16) and the Atlanta Falcons (26-23 OT), Drew Brees are beginning to look like legitimate Super Bowl title contenders once again. Even though the Saints have been very good as of late, New Orleans has been streaky at times this season and might slip up against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.
Now the New York Giants are still in contention for the NFC East division title, every game from here on out is a must-win situation as they are neck-and-neck with the arch division rival Dallas Cowboys. With Cowboys beating the Miami Dolphins with a game-winning field goal on Thanksgiving Day, the pressure is on once again and the Giants must come out on top in Week 12.
Despite this being a must-win game and something that could help the Giants keep up with the Cowboys in the NFC East, the New Orleans Saints are without a doubt a much better team as of right now. With the Saints offense having the ability to light up the scoreboard on any given night, the Giants defense will be on their heels all night long and will ultimately fall.
As of right now, the New Orleans Saints are favored to get the win on Monday Night Football with a -7 point spread.
