Over the past couple of seasons, the Houston Texans have become a team on the rise in the NFL with one of the best offenses in the NFL both on the ground and through the air. Before last season, the Texans depended solely on their passing game to score touchdowns due to their weak backfield, but then in came up-and-coming running back Arian Foster.
Last season Arian Foster burst onto the scene in the NFL and quickly became one of the best running backs in the league. With a potent running game and a dominant passing game led by Pro Bowlers Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson, the Houston Texans became a legitimate playoff team and threatened to beat out the Indianapolis Colts for the AFC South division title.
Unfortunately, the Texans missed the playoffs and failed to live up to their new high expectations, but this upcoming NFL regular season this team hopes to get back to form and make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
At the beginning of training camp, Arian Foster tweaked his hamstring and got a lot of people in Houston worried about his health for the regular season. Foster did get back healthy and played in a few preseason games, but he has reinjured the same hamstring and might be doubtful for the season opener against the division rival Indianapolis Colts.
Reportedly, Arian Foster has already gotten back on the practice field and has said that he should be ready for Week 1 against the Colts, but that hamstring could turn out to be a persistent problem throughout the season.
So as of right now, Arian Foster is a still a go for Week 1, but that could easily change if the Pro Bowl running back tweaks that hamstring during practice or is noticeably ailing from his recent injury.
