Last season the Green Bay Packers had one of the most potent offenses in the league led by Pro Bowl quarterback Aaron Rodgers and a dominant defense led by the Defensive Player of the Year in cornerback Charles Woodson, but even though they had an offense that could lit up the scoreboard and a defense that could shutdown opposing teams, they weren’t able to get past the Arizona Cardinals in the playoffs.
This year the Packers have seemed to gotten even better in the offseason as they have improved their offensive line and have Aaron Rodgers ready to lead this team to a Super Bowl title. Get in early on the Packers winning it all this year at the best online sportsbooks.
Obviously, the Green Bay Packers will have their work cut out for them in the NFC Conference this season and even in the NFC North division for that matter, but after Thursday night’s win over the Indianapolis Colts, a lot of people have started to consider Aaron Rodgers and company as a serious force to be reckoned with in the NFC.
The one team that the Green Bay Packers will be trying to get the best of this season will be Brett Favre’s Minnesota Vikings as they will have to go after the NFC Wildcard once again if they can’t win the NFC North division this season.
Despite many people giving the Vikings the edge in the division after the return of Brett Favre, their wide receiving corps have been ravaged with injuries which may have tilted the scales in the Packers favor this season.
During the Packers third preseason game against the Colts, Aaron Rodgers just torched the Indianapolis secondary as he threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns in just the first half.
Ultimately, the Packers cruised to a 59-24 victory, which looks more like a game played on Madden 11, but Rodgers performance has been an eye opener as he showed he is ready to take this team to the next level.
