There is no question at this point in the NFL regular season that the Detroit Lions are the team of the future in the NFC Conference. Even though there are other impressive young teams in the NFC this season like the San Francisco 49ers (9-2) and the Atlanta Falcons (7-4), the talent on the current Lions squad looks like it could be around for quite some time with perennial playoff appearances in the near future. #1 Green Bay Packers (11-0)
Many people believed that a perfect season was unlikely for the Green Bay Packers this season, but after the first 11 games of the NFL regular season this team continues to fire on all cylinders with 11 straight wins and arguably the best team in the league.
Whether or not the Packers can win the next five games remains to be seen, but I believe it is definitely possible as long as they can stay healthy. Continue Reading…
In Week 11, the Houston Texans suffered arguably their biggest blow of the season with franchise quarterback Matt Schaub going down for the season with an injury to his right foot. With Schaub out for the season and the team atop the AFC South division standings, the Texans knew they had to replace their franchise quarterback and hopefully continue to win football games in order to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. With four wins in the last five games, a lot of people around the NFL have been debating about whether or not second-year quarterback and fan favorite Tim Tebow is the real deal and the right man for the job under center for the Denver Broncos. The one loss to the Detroit Lions was pretty bad in his second start of the season, but the four wins were impressive and hard to ignore. Continue Reading…

Coming into this NFL regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles were dubbed the “Dream Team” with multiple free agent Pro Bowl additions and superstar quarterback Michael Vick signed to a $100 million dollar deal. With all these talented players surrounding Vick and head coach Andy Reid calling the shots on the sidelines, the consensus was this team could contend with the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers. Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers Sun. Nov. 27, 2011 4:15 p.m. EST
With the AFC West division being wide open right now, the Denver Broncos have gone from being without doubt the worst team in the division to potentially winning the division at season’s end. Right now the Oakland Raiders are the top team in the AFC West with a 6-4 record, but the Denver Broncos are sitting with a 5-5 record heading into their showdown with the division rival San Diego Chargers and could continue to close the gap with another win. Chicago Bears @ Oakland Raiders Sun. Nov. 27, 2011 4:05 p.m. EST
The Chicago Bears suffered a major blow this week as they found out that franchise quarterback Jay Culter could be done for the season with a broken thumb that required surgery. Without Cutler under center, the Bears offense is considered to be one dimensional as they will have to strictly go with the ground game and depend on up-and-coming running back Matt Forte to put points on the board.
